Policyholder Litigation

Wolf Wallenstein represents policyholders in coverage litigation against insurance companies, including the pursuit of bad faith claims, related to insurance policies providing coverage for CGL, property, BI/EE, environmental, construction, employment and D&O.

Relevant Experience:

  • Represented behavioral care facility in coverage litigation involving CGL insurance requiring motion practice to dismiss federal court action filed by insurer in the insurer’s failed attempt to shift the dispute to federal court.

  • Represented multi-family building limited partnership and public pension fund in coverage litigation involving property insurance dispute involving $150M+ in damages.

  • Represented aerospace manufacturer in coverage litigation involving historical environmental insurance involving multiple facilities with different contamination and coverage characteristics.

Policyholder Counseling

Our firm advises policyholders on a wide-range of insurance issues and policies, including CGL, property, BI/EE, environmental, construction, employment and D&O.

  • Represented pipeline company in coverage dispute involving environmental liability insurance related to unintended pipeline upset that discharged pipeline materials into a neighboring waterway.

  • Represented law firm in coverage dispute involving D&O liability insurance related to defense and indemnity obligations resulting in complete payment of defense and indemnity.
